The Burmese feline is a type of homegrown feline, starting in Burma, accepted to have its underlying foundations close to the Thai-Burma line and created in the United States and Britain. Most present day Burmese are relatives of one female heckled Wong Mau, which was brought from Burma to America in 1930 and reproduced with American Siamese.
