The Akbash Dog (Turkish: Akbaş, which means White Head. is local to Turkey, and it is principally utilized as an animals watchman canine or shepherd canine. This variety was acquainted with North America during the 1970s by U.S. residents Judith and David Nelson who had been exploring white hued canines in western Turkey.

Origin: Turkey

Temperament: Known for dubious, defensive senses, the Akbash canine is furiously autonomous and can be a test to prepare into a worthy family pet.

Lifespan: 10 – 11 years

Size:  Female: Male: 71 – 86 cm (Adult), Female: 69 – 81 cm (Adult)
