1998

Adityanath elected to lok sabha from Gorakhpur uttar Pradesh  constituency. He also defeated Jamuna Prasad Nishad of Samajwadi Party. From 1998 to 1999 he also served as the Member of Standing Committee on Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution and Its Sub-Committee-B on Department of Sugar and Edible Oils Distribution. Also he was the Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs.

1999

Although, He was re-elected to 13th Lok Sabha (2nd term) . From 1999 to 2000, after that he was appointed as the Member, Standing Committee on Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution and Member, Consultative Committee, and minister for home affairs.

2004

Re-elected to 14th Lok Sabha ( 3rd term) from the same constitency. Also he became Member of Committee on Government Assurances, Member, Standing Committee on External Affair, Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affair

2009

He  was also re-elected to 15th Lok Sabha (4th term). On 31 Aug. 2009, after that, he became a member of Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture and Member, Consultative Committee, ministery of home affairs

2014

He was again elected to 16th Lok Sabha (5th term). This time he defeated Rajmati Nishad of Samajwadi Party.

2017
