Sanganer MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma has been unanimously elected as the leader of the legislative party. Former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje has proposed the name of Bhajan Lal Sharma for the next Chief Minister. Rajasthan will have two Deputy Chief Ministers, Diya Kumari, and Dr. Premchand Berwa will take oath for the post of Deputy Chief Minister on December 15.
Earlier, the new Chief Minister of the state was elected during the BJP Legislative Party meeting in Jaipur. BJP’s central observer Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and two co-observers Vinod Tawde and Saroj Pandey are in the meeting. Rajnath Singh along with all the leaders, Vasundhara Raje and CP Joshi reached BJP headquarters. Newly elected MLAs have already reached the party office, after the announcement by the Chief Minister, a delegation will go to Raj Bhavan and stake claim to form the government.

Bhajan Lal Sharma has been active in politics for 34 years. A resident of village Attari of Bharatpur, He entered political history after coming in contact with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad during his primary and secondary education in Nadbai. He later joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and became the village sarpanch at the age of 27.
He contested the 2003 assembly elections from the Nadbai assembly constituency of Bharatpur on the ticket of Rajasthan Samajik Nyay Manch and came in fifth place with more than 5900 votes. Subsequently, after the Rajasthan Assembly elections in 2023, he was elected as the MLA from Sanganer Assembly constituency. On 12 December 2023, the first-time MLA was appointed as the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan by the Bharatiya Janata Party along with two deputy CMs, Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa.
